Where it all started
Over 140 stalls. The beachfront. The ocean in front of you, the sky turning orange, then purple, then black. The sound of the waves swallowed up by music, voices, and the kind of energy that makes you feel alive.
This is the Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets. The place where Caz and Jose met — she was running a stall, he was part of the setup crew — and the place where, a year later, they built something of their own.
SoMagnetic started with a conversation, a spark of an idea, and the decision to build something that could fund the life they're working toward — a wedding, a family, a future. TTC and newly engaged, they needed something real. Something they believed in.
Four days after the idea was born, they had a brand, a name, machines on order, and a stall in progress.

Three nights a week, Jose sets up the stall as the sun goes down over the Gold Coast beachfront. And for the next few hours, he does something quietly remarkable.
You walk up. You show him a photo on your phone — maybe one you haven't looked at in years. He prints it, cuts it, presses it, and hands it back to you as a magnet. In under two minutes. While you watch.
No factory. No middleman. No compromises. If the print isn't perfect, he does it again. And again. Until it is.
The moment we'll never forget
A man came to the stall one night and printed photos of his two kids.
When Jose handed him the magnets, something shifted. He went quiet. His eyes filled up. We don't know his story — whether he was far from home, or hadn't seen them in a while, or something else entirely.
He held the magnets for a moment. Then he looked up, said they meant the world to him, and walked away.
